Family Friday

Marc Lansdale_090716_009-Edit-2Growing up in front of the camera became very natural for my family. My brothers and sister and I could put on a smile and pose for one moment and the next be ourselves. Photography became part of our lives. In a way it became a picture journal documenting our childhood. There were days when we knew that we needed a picture for grandparents, mothers day, or birthdays. My mom would set up the scenes for us (always a new theme) and we would take pictures. At the time we normally felt that it was a waist of time and wanted to be playing. Looking back on it I am very thankful to have the picture journal that we have. Now, don't let me steer you wrong, there isn't really a journal (just boxes . . .  and some albums). And that leads to my

Questions of the day -

What is your picture display of choice? Do you prefer an album or a portrait hanging in the living room? Or would you prefer a wall of many smaller pictures?

  1. Well, since you asked Taylor, I prefer to have a large picture displayed. In our home in Georgia, I had the family portraits and children’s portraits displayed down the hall on the bedroom side of the house. Here, I have them displayed going up the stairs as you walk into the front of the house. I do like photo albums, but I keep those put away so the younger children won’t disturb them. I also have a wall that is full of smaller pictures. I love having pictures all over the house….at one point, I kept the dining room table covered in pictures. :) My fridge is covered in not only family pictures, but with pictures of friends. I love pictures!!
